MONEY-BACK-IF-NOT-SATISFIED OFFER ON PTAEDA2V
In at least 1,000,000 copies of our Green Sheet, we have described how to use PTAEDA2V plus an initial inventory to thin plantations at ages 12-16. We have demonstrated, conclusively we hope, that it is the only way to avoid destroying a significant portion of its value. Nevertheless, we recently watched a public-agency forester on a public television station explain why row thinning was required and proper. If you had seen hundreds of examples of what following his advice would do to a plantation, that program would make you want to cry too.
To do our best to stop the slaughter, we now offer two options. First, we will continue to sell the present version at the regular price of $250, but with several differences. If you want to try it, send us your order and address by e-mail to jacksonms@vardaman.com. We'll e-mail you both PTAEDA2V and the instruction manual. If you decide that it might be satisfactory, send us the $250. As soon as we receive the check and before we cash it, we'll assign a PTAEDA2V expert here to talk you through several runs with it over 800+455-4568. You'll have to select the details of a sample plantation, SI-25, age, stand/acre, etc. We'll enter the same data on PTAEDA2V here so that we can see exactly what you see. If you decide not to buy it, we'll return the check. If you decide to buy it, we'll cash your check and send you the Windows version (see below) free of charge when it is ready. This option is available now.
Second, we will convert PTAEDA2V to a Windows application. All development and installation work will be supervised by Ralph Amateis of the Loblolly Pine Growth and Yield Research Cooperative at Virginia Tech. We'll then put a demo version with limited functionality on our Web site so that you can test it to see if you want to buy it. If you decide to do so, we'll send a password to change the demo into a fully functional version when we receive your check. This new Windows version, PTAEDA2.1V, will be ready later this year.
As we pointed out earlier, PTAEDA2V is the only available individual-tree, distance-dependent growth-and-yield model. If you are interested in the way plantations develop, you'll be fascinated with what it reveals. But we warn you, "PTAEDA2V is not a simple tool that you can master in 15 minutes. Don't buy it unless you are prepared to work at mastering it."
