The Most Direct, Frequent Link to Knowledge Workers in the Eastern Forest Economy

This week’s FR is much shorter because of important changes reported in it.

1. USING OUR WEB SITE TO FIND TIMBER BUYERS OR TIMBERLAND MANAGERS

We have 480 registered subscribers to whom we send the FR directly, and our tracking report shows that we also have about 1,000 unique visitors each month. All of these persons have substantial interests in operations that produce income from timberland, either timber sales or forest management or both. So that they might learn enough about you and your tract to be interested in working with you, they must see evidence of what your tract looks like. Here’s a way to display its appearance and how to do it.

First you must use a camera that produces good photos of timber stands and take enough shots to display the tract well. Then you must post them and a photo or map showing location of the tract on YOUR computer. (Amazon sells a camera suited for this [Kodak EasyShare C300 3.2 MP Digital Camera for $79.88 with free shipping] and a card for adding them to the computer [Kingston 256 MB Secure Digital Card SD/256] for $10.75).

Finally, you must post an offering of it containing your e-mail address under Buy/Sell Land/Timber on OUR computer in the manner shown on our site. Those who click on your offering can then see everything that you posted on your computer.

2. Our Charge for Posting Your Ad

We have changed our charge method. We’ll bill you once for $15 when you post the offering. It will stay there until you tell us to remove it.

3. We no longer sell our used books on this site. We often use amazon.com.
